Massage robot FAQ

The questions buyers ask us most, with plain answers. If yours is not here, ask us and we will reply with specifics for your site.

Here are short answers to the questions we hear most from gyms, spas, hotels and clinics. Our only model on sale today is the Superhuman Touch T1. It costs $64,900 and includes installation, training and a 2-year warranty.

Buying & prices

How much does the T1 cost?

$64,900. Delivery, installation, calibration, one day of training, a 2-year parts and labour warranty, remote monitoring and software updates are all included. See the full breakdown on massage robot cost.

Why do you publish the price?

Most sellers in this market say “call for a quote”. We think a buyer should see the number before the sales call. Your written quote confirms the final price, freight and any site work.

How does that compare with the market?

Market prices we have seen run from about $13–23k for entry systems, around $60k for mid-range robots and $125–150k for flagship robots.

What does it cost to run?

About $40–80 per month in electricity. An optional service plan is available after the warranty ends.

Robot vs chair

Is a massage robot just a fancy massage chair?

No. A chair uses rollers and airbags in fixed positions. The T1 scans the guest’s body and moves two robotic arms along it, so the routine fits the person on the table. Read the full robot vs chair comparison.

Does a robot replace my therapists?

We see it as extra capacity. The robot covers early mornings, late nights and weekends, which are the hours that are hardest to staff. Your therapists keep the work that needs a skilled person.

The T1

What does a session look like?

The guest lies on the table and the robot runs a 3D body scan. The guest then picks a routine for the back, shoulders, neck, glutes or legs. The guest sets the pressure on the touchscreen. Sessions run 30 to 60 minutes.

Does the guest need to undress?

No. Guests stay clothed in fitted athletic wear.

How many guests can it serve?

About one guest per hour, including changeover.

Room & power

How much space do I need?

The T1 footprint is 2.4 × 1.6 m. We recommend a private, quiet room of about 3.0 × 2.6 m.

What power does it need?

A dedicated 120 V or 240 V circuit on a 20 A breaker. It also needs Wi-Fi or Ethernet for updates, booking and remote support.

Installation & training

What happens before delivery?

We run a fit check on your room, door widths, access route and power. Then we confirm everything in a site spec.

Who installs it?

Our own team delivers, positions, installs and calibrates the robot. We then train your staff for one day. See service and warranty for the full process.

Safety

What safety features does the T1 have?

Force limiting, a guest stop button within reach, collision detection and remote monitoring. More detail is on massage robot safety.

Is the T1 a medical device?

No. It is a wellness device and we make no medical claims. Guests who are pregnant or have injuries or health conditions should talk to their physician first. Compliance documentation comes with your written quote.

Does staff need to be in the room?

No therapist is needed during the session. Staff check the guest in, start the session and stay on call.

Financing

Can I finance instead of paying upfront?

Yes. Our estimate is about $1,350 per month over 60 months, on approved credit. Unlike a lease, you own the machine at the end. Details are on financing.

Service & warranty

What does the warranty cover?

Two years of parts and labour on the T1. Remote monitoring and software updates are included too.

Do I get new routines over time?

Yes. Software updates can add new routines and improvements at no extra cost during the warranty.
